Brian T. Sim, MS, CRNA, is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and Chief CRNA in the Department of Anesthesia at VA Boston Healthcare System. He earned his Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia from Boston College.

With nearly two decades of clinical experience, Mr. Sim specializes in anesthesia care across diverse settings, including Boston Medical Center, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, and Good Samaritan Medical Center. His expertise ensures patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. He currently serves as Chief CRNA at VA Boston, overseeing anesthesia services, and practices at Boston Endoscopy Center and Boston IVF. His scholarly contributions include a chapter on nursing ethics in the perioperative period in Nursing Ethics and Professional Responsibility in Advanced Practice, published across multiple editions.

A committed educator, Mr. Sim has served as a clinical instructor for student registered nurse anesthetists (SRNAs) since 2005 and taught graduate-level health assessment at Boston College. He is an active member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and the Massachusetts Association of Nurse Anesthetists, and has engaged in professional development focused on culturally competent care.
