Dr. Ianniello is an attending physician in the MGHfC Newborn Developmental Follow-Up Clinic and a newborn hospitalist at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. She graduated from Georgetown University in 2001 with a B.S. in Biology. She obtained her medical degree form Boston University School of Medicine in 2005 and completed her residency at University of Massachusetts Children’s Medical Center in 2008 followed by some training in newborn medicine at Tufts Medical Center. Dr. Ianniello worked as a pediatric hospitalist at Boston Children’s Hospital until 2013, when she transitioned to the Child Protection Team where she was able to consult on a variety of cases involving maltreatment of children, including physical abuse, sexual abuse and neglect. In this position, she worked on a multidisciplinary team advocating for children both within the hospital and with external agencies such as the Department of Children and Families, law enforcement and the legal system. She is now enjoying her work with newborns and infants while using her background in child maltreatment to continue advocating for vulnerable children.
