Samantha LaMartine is a clinical psychologist and assistant professor of psychiatry at Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine. She serves as the Director of Psychological Services for the Wellness and Recovery After Psychosis (WRAP) team. As a licensed psychologist, Dr. LaMartine specializes in interventions for adults, primarily working within primary care settings (i.e., integrative behavioral healthcare) and addressing psychosis in a subspecialty clinic. Her clinical interests include health psychology—helping patients understand how their behaviors, thoughts, and emotions affect their physical health. She is also passionate about psychosis care for young adults, believing that early intervention can significantly impact their long-term well-being. Dr. LaMartine's research and teaching interests focus on health disparities in mental health, particularly how racism, discrimination, and other systemic issues impact access to quality care for patients from underserved social backgrounds.
