Dr. María Soriano-Carot is co-founder and Vice President at IMFAHE as well as IMP-Biomedicine co-director. She received her degree in Biochemistry and Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology by the University of Valencia. From 2013 to 2016 Dr. Soriano worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Molecular and Cell Biology Department of Boston University studying the signaling mechanism in response to genetic and oxidative stress. Currently, she works as Outreach Scientist at the non-profit organization Addgene where she facilitates scientific sharing and discovery. In the last 5 years María has guided the professional career of several national and international undergraduate and graduate students. She was an active member of the postdoctoral Mentoring Circle Program (MCP) at Boston University and member of the Board of Directors at the Association of Spanish Scientist in USA.
