Postdoctoral Associate (previously held)
Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine
Pharmacology, Physiology & Biophysics

Pronouns: he/him/his

Dr. Posa's research focuses on pain and addiction in relationship with circadian rhythms. His goal is to improve the scientific knowledge on the pain sensitization process using behavioral studies, electrophysiology, optogenetics and neurochemistry. With strong analytical skills and knowledge in data analysis, Dr. Posa has a deep interest for the application of neuroscience to further understand the mechanisms of complex behaviors related to pain, reward, and motivation, at the intersection of circadian rhythms, and mood and substance use disorders.
