 Research Expertise & Professional Interests
Dr. Gallagher’s research interests include environmental epidemiology, reproductive health, and child health outcomes. Her areas of expertise include applying Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for exposure assessment purposes and conducting large-scale occupational studies. Since 2001, she has worked as a member of the research team on the epidemiological studies of a Cape Cod, Massachusetts, birth cohort for a variety of outcomes and exposure to the drinking water contaminant tetrachloroethylene (PCE). She is currently a co-investigator on a study quantifying exposure to ultraviolet radiation, as a proxy for Vitamin D, and the risk of multiple sclerosis.
