I am a pediatric surgeon in the Department of Surgery at the Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Santa Clara and joined Kaiser in 2015. I completed my undergraduate degree at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts and also spent a year at the Sorbonne in Paris, France. I then went to medical school at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, graduating in 2004. I completed my General Surgery training at the University of California San Francisco. I also did additional training at Boston Children’s Hospital. I have a Master’s in Public Health from Dartmouth College. My Pediatric Surgery Fellowship training was done at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan.

My professional interests involve neonatal surgery, advanced laparoscopy, surgical oncology, esophageal and thoracic surgery, and fetal counseling. I am also involved in surgical outcomes research, surgical and interdisciplinary simulation, and medical education. I believe in a teamwork approach to patient care where the patient, family, loved ones, nurses, staff, and physicians all play vital roles in healing the patient.
