Throughout my career over the years as an advanced practice nurse, DEIA represents the core value in providing exceptional care to the diverse population encountered in the General Internal Medicine at Boston Medical Center. I have been involved in educating diabetes self care management to groups of individuals from different backgrounds. I have worked at Mattapan Health Center and participated in many community health fairs. I participated in urban church events and adult day centers in terms of activities involving health care teachings. I am a nursing instructor, mentor and preceptor to Nurse Practitioner students from different colleges and universities.
