Elizabeth Yellen, MD is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at BUSM and practicing Pediatric Cardiologist. She is a graduate of Harvard College and George Washington University School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. She completed her general pediatrics residency in the Boston Combined Residency Program at Boston Medical Center and Boston Children’s Hospital. She remained at Boston Children’s for fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiology and senior fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Imaging. She then was recruited as faculty at BU and has continued to attend in the Children’s Preventive Cardiology Program, where she participates in quality improvement initiatives and research. Yellen currently serves as the Associate Pediatric Clerkship Director. She also serves as a field specific advisor and mentor for students interested in a career in Pediatrics. She joined the Office of Academic Affairs as Assistant Dean on November 1st in 2017. She focuses both on clinical site development for medical students and faculty development.
