Ms. Tobias is an assistant professor at Boston University School of Public Health and director of the Health and Disability Working Group (HDWG). HDWG is a research, technical assistance, and training center whose purpose is to improve the financing and delivery of health care, behavioral health care, and support services to children with special health care needs (CSHCN) people with disabilities and chronic illnesses. Ms. Tobias has directed five HIV-related national multi-site evaluations of peer education and training programs, outreach strategies to engage and retain people in HIV-related primary care, and innovative oral health programs. She is currently directing a cooperative agreement with the federal Maternal and Child Health Bureau on financing care for CSHCN and evaluating several programs and systems of care for adults with disabilities. She has a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University and a master’s degree in Human Services Management from the Heller School at Brandeis University.
